A Global Hedge Fund client of ours located in Central London are seeking an Azure Implementation Engineer to join their team for a 12-month FTC with the potential of going permanent with Hybrid working.

ABOUT THE ROLE

They are seeking an enthusiastic Azure Engineer specialising in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) to join their team in Central London. Their team is central to the business as they are responsible for the technology that underpins everything they do therefore you will have a direct impact on the success of the company.

The Azure Engineer will help implement their diverse technology stack, end-to-end, and are constantly in search of incremental improvements, new technologies, and ways of working to evolve their Azure platform and give them a competitive edge. They are looking for individuals who want to find unique solutions for optimising efficiency and performance in a context where they are key enablers. The ideal candidate will need to have deep knowledge of Azure IaaS services, including Office365, Azure Entra tooling, Azure security tooling, Azure deployment methods like App Proxy and Azure automation.

Examples of initial projects this role would deliver:

Security controls and best practices

  • Authentication and admin workflows

  • Conditional access and any critical controls in code or controlled in a way where they cannot be reverted without an approval workflow

Exchange hybrid

  • A good understanding of availability fallback, risk and contingencies should O365 be unavailable

  • Detailed benefits to moving routing and mailboxes

  • Self-service calendar bookings

Azure app proxy

  • Tested in their environment using a number of PWAs they have deployed today, delivering self service as code for further onboarding by teams

  • Accessible by their managed devices only
