An amazing Global Investment Client of ours located in Central London are looking for a Network Automation Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a rare opportunity and the package offered for this role is up to £200k depending on skills and experience.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Global Investment Company is looking for a Network Automation Engineer, who will work on continual improvements of their internal infrastructure. This will include designing and on-boarding of new platforms, dealing with growth and capacity planning and providing day to day operational support. This position will involve a high level of interaction with other members of the infrastructure, development and support teams.
Responsibilities:
Design networking solutions using Cisco products
Design, implement and maintain connectivity for existing and future sites, platforms and devices across the globe.
Automation of networks (Ansible, Python) to reduce the need for manual changes across the estate
Interfacing and providing support across other pieces of infrastructure when needed (Linux/Kubernetes/VMware etc.)
Required Skills:
Strong automation and scripting skills (Ansible, Python, Bash and similar)
Sound networking skills, including switching (VLAN, 802.1q trunking, STP, HSRP, LACP) and routing (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP)
Proficiency in dealing with Cisco network ecosystem, especially Cisco ACI and IOS / IOS XE
Solid understanding of the entire network stack for RCA analysis and troubleshooting (e.g. with Wireshark)
Experience with firewalls (knowledge of Fortigate would be a bonus) as well as load balancing solutions (F5 BIG-IP, Netscaler)
Good Linux management/operational skills in an enterprise environment (Red Hat)
Familiarity with VMware vSphere virtualisation platform
Desirable Skills:
Experience with Cisco VoIP (CallManager) products
Understanding of Windows Active Directory ecosystem, especially in the context of DNS/DHCP/Kerberos authentication
Familiarity with Kubernetes container orchestration platform
InfiniBand networking skills
FC storage fabric knowledge
