A prominent Global Asset Management firm located in Central London are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading organisation that is dedicated to providing innovative financial solutions globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage large-scale network environments, ensuring they operate efficiently and reliably. 

  • You will be responsible for monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing enhancements to optimise network functionality.

  • Address audit findings proactively and perform disaster recovery testing to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. 

  • Prepare documentation and conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.

  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to network incidents as they arise. 

  • Assist in other duties assigned, contributing to the overall success of the Network engineering team.

  • Work closely with IT and security teams to ensure that network infrastructure aligns with organisational goals and complies with security protocols. 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions that enhance business operations.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in network design and architecture with a valid CCNP certification or equivalent. 

  • A solid foundation in networking principles is essential for success in this role.

  • Strong expertise in Cisco technologies, including routers, switches, and Wireless LAN Controllers. 

  • Familiarity with Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, and Wi-Fi management in large environments is highly desirable.

  • Understanding of cloud networking solutions particularly with Azure and experience in managing virtualised data centers. 

  • Proficient in automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, and Terraform. 

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address complex networking issues.
