A permanent opportunity with hybrid working is open at a prestigious financial services company based in the City of London. They are looking for a Staff Security Architect that will assess security risks for in-house applications, cloud platforms, and vendor solutions, while defining and enforcing security architectures and standards across the enterprise. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analysis

  • Perform security reviews for application architecture and propose remediations

  • Integrate security into early SDLC phases by establishing security tollgates

  • Develop and enforce security reference architectures and technical standards

  • Collaborate with IAM, Cloud, and Solution Architects, as well as Security teams

  • Strengthen security controls for cloud services and landing zones

  • Guide teams through security governance processes and participate in audits

  • Hands-on with Active Directory, Azure AD, and hybrid environments

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and virtual leadership skills

  • Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud security, scripting, automation, and security analytics

  • Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or AWS Certified Security 

  • Background in designing and securing cloud solutions

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, including SecOps, penetration testing, or security architecture.

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of experience.

  • Experience with security observability and identity threat monitoring in hybrid cloud environments.

  • Proven track record of driving transformational security projects and strong communication skills.

  • Preference for candidates with a background in security analytics, offensive security, or threat prevention.
